Everardo,

I've been putter shopping and have been trying to find a Cameron Stainless Newport 2 to try (not the current Studio Style). Can you compare how your Stainless Newport 2 feels compared to either the Detour, Studio Style or current TM Rossa putters? (The aforementioned three putters are the only ones I have been able to try out.)

I realize putters are a personal feel thing, but can't get my hands on one to feel.

Thanks,

catfell

I bought a Domino™ Putter from Domino Golf Inc. through my golf instructor. Once I tried one of those demo Domino™ Putters (different lengths with different weight settings) that my instructor had, I knew I had to have one of my own. Having played tennis more than thirty years of my life, I am accustomed to having a certain feel when hitting a tennis ball with my racquet. I would equate the feel of my Domino™ Putter and a golf ball with hitting a tennis ball right in the "sweet spot" with my racquet. It just feels GOOD!

I am honestly considering getting another Domino™ Putter (a left-handed one to go with my right-handed one) because I intend to play both right-handed and left-handed this next year. Wierd huh? The inventor of the Domino™ Putter is Steve MacIlraith. He is an extremely nice guy and is extremely knowledgeable about golf. We've discussed my ambitious desire to play left-handed.

Honestly, my putter is my most treasured club in my bag! I love it!

is it the dot or the line? dot like the circa or line like the newports?

Mine has the sight line.

Everardo,

I haven't tried the Rossa's in a while so sorry I can't help you there. I can tell you the Yes! Abbie I've been using sounds a little 'clickier' than my Scotty's but I attribute this to no inserts on the face. With the SC's, I can tell you my Detour feels the softest to me but I also attribute that to more weight behind it. The SS Newport 2 I have is a bit firmer while my JAT and Napa are the most solid feeling (No insert in face though).

Hope that helps.

I had the pleasure of playing with Steve at the Olympic club and can honestly say that he's a great guy and without doubt the best putter I have seen in 30 years of playing golf.

As for production models - Ping REDWOOD series or Cleveland CLASSIC series - each very very nice putters.      I personally am a sucker for a putter face with raised tool marks which are found on each.
