Anybody out there have a standard routine to getting their game back in to shape?  Interested to see how everyone gets back in to the groove, practice routines, etc.

Thanks

-Go to the practice green, shank 7 pitches in a row

-Get pissed so I head over to the tee line

-Am so pissed that I abandon any plan and wail on my driver for about 30 balls, slicing 10, topping 10 and duck hooking 10

-Realize I should work up to my driver and hit some nice 9 irons

-start shanking irons suddenly and leave

That's what I do early in the season

...but seriously good thread, I'd like to hear some routines too

After a forced, long lay off from golf, I started back up, first with chips, then pitches, then longer pitches, 150 yard approaches, and finally full driver/3W swings. In between all those shots I worked a little on my putting when ever possible. After I was able swing all my clubs again, I started working on different areas of my game.

Since my restart, I have dropped 8 strokes in less than a year.  That 9th stroke is still a few weeks away. Poor putting is a stumbling block right now due to lack of practice time. :-D
