I have to say that your swing looks pretty fast and powerful, but your feet appear to be off the ground before impact? Your shot looked like it had a pretty decent trajectory up to the flag at least.

What are your issues?

Well im rather new to the game and still learning how to score and such. I have great distance with all clubs. I can hit it straight but it doesnt happen very often. It either turns out to be a little draw or a little fade or a big draw or a big fade. The tournaments ive played in , the courses are pretty narrow. I havent really developed i go to shot or a longer club im really confident with. On short par 4s that are narrow ive thought about maybe teeing off with a 5 iron or 6 iron because i hit thise around 200 and pretty straight, but ive never seen a pro tee off with those on par 4s. Ive never been to a pga event so i dont know how much they try to curve the ball or what. Since im long with the driver , if im offline just a little bit it could be trouble. I just want to develope a go to accurate swing. Im also trying to lose some weight so i can get around my body a little better

Im 5'11 200 lbs and played football and baseball so used to lift heavy. Im trying to lose about 20 lbs and lose a little muscle mass as well to be a little more flexible and be able to get on a better plane regularly. My take is that a bigger chest leads to an upright swing plan and can lead ti a more out to in swing as its harder to get your left arm across your chest. Also i get pretty tired around 12 to 13 holes. So i think i start using different muscles and have a somewhat different seing by the end if the rounds. Ive tried to reduce practice swings or to take really ligh practice swings to save energy so im not mentally and physically out of it. Golf is very mentally tiring to me especially trying to save par mostly. I think if i lose some wait and mass my swing would look better because id be able to move more freely and not have to force movements in my swing. Any opinions or advice on this as well is welcomed

Well im rather new to the game and still learning how to score and such. I have great distance with all clubs. I can hit it straight but it doesnt happen very often where its dead straight. It either turns out to be a little draw or a little fade or a big draw or a big fade. The tournaments ive played in , the courses are pretty narrow. I havent really developed i "go to"shot or a longer club im really confident with on tight par fours that have trouble on both sides. Ive never been to a pga event so i dont know how much they try to curve the ball or what. Since im long with the driver , if im offline just a little bit it could be trouble. I just want to develope a go to accurate swing or shot. Im also trying to lose some weight so i can get around my body a little better. I usually shoot around 80 in tournaments last year. I know i have to work on chipping and putting much more. Sent from my iPhone

I posted a video in members swing under my swing

Yes you did. Now please have some patience. Constantly creating posts asking the same stuff isn't going to get people to answer you quicker. Just because someone hasn't responded to you right away doesn't mean you wont get some advice.

Look at it this way. If you really want to get better at golf it will take time and some effort. It usually is a slow process. Some people might end up working on one thing in their swing for a whole year to try get things were they want it. So chill a bit. There are some great non-golf threads to participate in. There is a ton of really good golf information on this forum if you go digging a bit.
Ive been playing for 3 years. Current score is around 80. Typical flight is medium to high trajectory. I want to reduce hooks and slices.
Not like I am guilt free of doing this, but if you fire the wrong muscles on the downswing, it will exert much more energy. One thing that my coaches told me to do is to move "slow and syrupy" . At first I was thinking it would slow me down until @mvmac said we are not telling you to slow down your swing. Then I kind of got it, and it took another month or so to finally start getting it. If you use the correct muscles and just enough of them, you should be able to go the full 18 holes without exerting too much energy. We all want to reduce hooks and slices, this is where your talent might have an advantage over most of us. If you slow down your swing to a really controlled 112mph swing instead of the 125mph one, you might be able to hit on line much more often, and possibly break into the low single digits. This is uncharted territory for me as well, and I'm sure the lower handicaps with high swing speeds can chime in with much better advice.

My friend told me to post in here and not the other one. Im new to this site. Dont tell me to chill a bit im just new to it so wasnt sure where the best place was to post. Im chill

You seem chill.

He is just letting you know that there are some other places to look around on the site while waiting for responses. You are new and he has a lot of experience. Just take a knee and people will slowly respond.

So you want to get better- do you have any specific goals in mind?

Do you usually try to hit multiple ball flights throughout your round or just stick with one? I ask because it sounds like you are trying to learn multiple flights.

    • Great point - my experience from the 2004 Oakland Hills Ryder Cup. I got 4 tickets for Friday, had some buddies go with me and we saw shots on about 4 holes. You really have to decide who you want to see, then try to jump ahead to see them somewhere on the back 9. If you got into the grandstands then you'd likely have a good view only of that green/tee box.  Sidenote: I knew a guy who was a member at Birmingham CC, and he was a marshal on the 18th hole and he was out there all day, both morning and afternoon groups. And he had 1 group play the hole in the morning and another in the afternoon. Huge corporate tents around the 18 green, along with some grandstands. And you get to see maybe 6 or 7 shots counting the approach and putts.  Learned my lesson, I have no issue in going to another Ryder Cup, especially at the prices they want for 2025. I think it was $40 for a practice round (went to one of those as well) and maybe $75 for Friday/Saturday, $100 for Sunday. And it was "limited" to 20,000 tickets/day, which is still very crowded to follow 4 pairings around the course.
    • Of course he can score in the low 70's in a really short course driving it that short. But the course rating is going to be in the 60's so is not like he can call himself a scratch player.
