If you search youtube you can get a lot of examples and how-tos.

It's very easy, I can a grip in 2-3 minutes tops.

Steps:

  1. Clamp club in vise
  2. Cut off old grip
  3. Clean tape off or not, depending on preference
  4. Retape, depending on need
  5. Pour a small amount of mineral spirits inside grip and "swish" around and empty
  6. Insert air hose into end of grip with nossle attachment
  7. Put grip on club without air gun engaged and apply foward pessure
  8. Start the air and slide the grip into place
  9. Make any final adjustments and let dry

Easy!

Can this be done with any grip.  Seems like some in the videos use Puregrip.

It can be done with any rubber only grip that hole at top of the grip, I've done it with Golf Pride Niion, Lamkin and Iomic rubber grips.

Looks like I will be headed to Harbor Freight to get a new tip for my compressor and giving this a shot.  I have a few old clubs laying around.

I regrip the old fashioned way (with tape and solvent), but I try to save my grips if I can. I use Jumbos which are thicker and can be saved. Putter grips too. The thin grips....forget it. The first time I tried it I left my compressor set for 150 PSI and blew the grip up. A loud bang! :-)

It's harder than it looks, I've tried it and couldn't make it work, but I'm sure it was me. The local club builder that I take clubs to for fixing and tweaking can pull a grip off using air in a split second. I wish I could pull them with air, it would cut down my time to regrip.

It's easy to remove a grip with air that was put on without using double back sticky tape. I use blue painters tape exclusively. Easy on, easy off. Makes adding/changing counterweights a breeze. Also facilitates easy rotation of the grip to move the thumb wear spots off the thumb.
