In theory, our club will have the annual 3-club tournament on Saturday, assuming enough of the snow melts.

Looks like we have some driving ranges opening this weekend but for courses wont be till mid April. Our snow is melting quickly. Yay for a super early spring!

Cant wait to get rid of the indoor golf.

Wow, I live in east central Illinois and our local courses are weeks away from opening up. The ground is seriously wet. Lucky you, Enjoy

That's why our local courses are not letting anyone play yet. It was too wet even before we got the 2' of rain. If you don't mind me asking,what course are you playing? I'm about 2hr from Murphysboro.

Turkey hunted once in Jackson co. Stone Creek is on my bucket list, everyone I know that has played it raves about it.

Golfed another 9 today. Shot a 54. Only 4 strokes worse than 5 days ago. Putted worse but my short game was better.

One of the local courses opens today at noon! Luckily, I took vacation time for March Madness, so I'll be there. Michigan golf season is starting early this year!

      Day 197 (15 Nov 24) - Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management.  Solid round of 83 (41/42) - 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.

      Have been on a mid to low 80’s roll of late - today was no different with an 83 (41 front / 42 back).   Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management, delivering 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.  Local course starting to get that winter feel - wet areas wetter, thin grass thinner, greens  trickier.
