So who uses a long putter??

I was HORRRRRIBLE at putting for so long and a friend gave me his old chest odessy putter to try out for a while.

And I have been using it for about 1 month now 3x a week and I must say it is AWESOME!!!!!

I use 3 fingers to hold it into my chest and with my right hand I hold it down with another 3 fingers.

Any other tips or tricks with this type of a putter?

I don't use a chest putter, but I just recently shifted to a belly putter, and I couldn't be happier

I was never a bad putter but not really great either. When having to lag a long putt I found myself constantly leaving 3 footers left for par. I recently converted a callway i trax into a 38.5 inch belly putter (I'm short) and now I just don't miss 3 footers anymore. The belly really works, its amazing.

I used one on and off for a couple of years. I also tried the belly but I hated it. I found that my short putts improved but the longer putts got worse. All in all it didn't really help my putting stats (did not hurt them either). I finally went to a short putter and the claw grip and haven't looked back.
