If Every had looked over to the spectator and asked him to repeat the advice, it could have been a different story. Interestingly, few rules officials look at hypothetical situations. In fact, at the USGA/PGA Rules Workshops you are not even allowed to say, "what about if...?"

Damn. There goes my plan of following Phil around Augusta National shouting, "DIE THE BALL INTO THE HOLE!!!"


My plan was to wait until Tiger had a 2 footer to win his 19th major and yell out "Go for it, dude!"

He would be disqualified for sure. And if he wasn't we could start a thread about him being a cheat, so it would qualify as a win/win. :loco:
