does shaft puring make any difference on adjustable head drivers??

My guess is if you adjust a pured shaft, then no.

The good news is that the quality of shafts have improved in the better makers so that you do  not have as much of a rounding issue - I see analysis by installers of 99% roundness, etc. I assume shafts now are also straight -- equipment is better and of higher quality in this higher tech era.

You have to reset the tip after you find what setting you like, which really means buying a new tip.
