Well, I had a lesson yesterday and measured how far my clubs where going, and I found something out, both my 5 and 4 irons are going 180-185, so should I take my 4i out and put in another wedge, i was thinking of taking my 5 wood out but know that my 4i and 5i are going the same distance I was thinking about putting a 56* and 60* wedge in my bag and taking out the 58* and 4i, is this a good idea untill I get more distance out of my 4i?

Your profile lists:

Woods- Big Bertha 3 wood and 5 wood
Hybrid- Baffler 20*
Irons- Big Bertha Fusion
Wedges- Vokey 52* and 58*

Assuming you've got the 190-225 range covered between your woods/hybrid then, yes, your 4I is redundant. Your wedge array is kinda strange, looks like a 56 would fit neatly in there (something with a contrasting bounce/setup to your 58, maybe?).

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

Well im only 15, thats why I dont hit my 5i that far, but why do you say I have to be magic from 100? My shortgame isnt really magic, but its ok

Ya I realize that wedge setup is alittle diff. but thats why I want to take the 58* and the 4i out and replace them with a 56* and 60*

I don't understand that comment either. Regardless of what club you use to get to your distance, as long as you know how far you can hit your clubs, its all the same.

Not true at all, Xavier. I've played with scratch golfers that hit 5-iron from 150 and have a decent but not outstanding short game (a rather average short game for a low handicapper, which makes them "decent" when compared to everyone else).

Ya, my short games not the best but its difinitely better than most peoples, so you think I should drop the 4i and go with another wedge?
