Hello from Southern Cal

I've been lurking for several years and have finally decided to join. I found the website a few years ago when I was looking to improve my game (and handicap) so I could begin playing in local qualifiers. With some help from TST and LSW, I did improve enough to play in some of the local qualifiers but it turns out not playing well enough to actually compete in those qualifiers isn't much fun.

So I have finally decided to commit to the process of actually improving ball striking stats (more GIRs) - not just searching for quick fixes and swing feels. To that end I'm committing to participate and contribute to TST. Specifically for my game, I'm committed to creating and regularly updating a My Swing thread - more specifically, I'm committing to:

• Flaring my feet
• A shorter more controlled back swing
• Starting the downswing with a controlled "slide" - currently I feel it in the knees.
• Learning to own my shot shape/cone by using the same shot shape with all clubs
• Improving all five Keys

Welcome to the site @shalabe . Apologies for the brief response; I'm catching up after traveling to Indiana for a little teaching and a little relaxing.

I'm glad you like the site and LSW. You get more out of it if you post, of course, and I encourage you to post by starting a Member Swing thread. Let's see if you've prioritized your pieces properly. :)

I plan on uploading videos tonight. I'm sure there are additional priority pieces I missed - these are just the ones I've dabbled with in the past in my search for a quick fix.
