It didn't really warm my heart when the illegal immigrant said rather nonchalantly , "Yes I accidentally shot her with a gun I found under a bench."

Evidently a woman who was a big contribution to society, shot right in front of her father...very sad.

Reminds me of Willie Horton in '96.

One can always find an example of a point you are attempting to make.

George Bush I  pummeled Dukakis with Willie Horton.

On October 26, 1974, in Lawrence, Massachusetts , Horton and two accomplices robbed Joseph Fournier, a 17-year-old gas station attendant, and then fatally stabbed him 19 times after he had cooperated by handing over all of the money in the cash register. His body was dumped in a trash can. Fournier died from blood loss. [2] Horton was convicted of murder , sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole, and incarcerated at the Northeastern Correctional Center in Massachusetts . [3]

On June 6, 1986, he was released as part of a weekend furlough program but did not return. On April 3, 1987 in Oxon Hill, Maryland , Horton twice raped a local woman after pistol-whipping, knifing, binding, and gagging her fiancé. He then stole the car belonging to the man he had assaulted . He was later shot and captured by Corporal Yusuf Muhammad (formerly named Joseph Bell) of the Prince George's County Police Department after a pursuit. On October 20, Horton was sentenced in Maryland to two consecutive life terms plus 85 years. The sentencing judge, Vincent J. Femia, refused to return Horton to Massachusetts, saying, "I'm not prepared to take the chance that Mr. Horton might again be furloughed or otherwise released. This man should never draw a breath of free air again." [4]

On April 18, 1996, Horton was transferred to the Jessup Correctional Institution (then called the Maryland House of Correction Annex), a maximum security prison in Jessup, Maryland , where he remains. [5]

Democratic Presidential candidate Michael Dukakis was the governor of Massachusetts at the time of Horton's release, and while he did not start the furlough program, he had supported it as a method of criminal rehabilitation

But what does this have to do with golf and the Grand Slam?

I think Trump said he mutually agreed to the relocation of the event and it gave him a chance to repair and upgrade the course.

I read where Trump said it does not bother him he will just keep their deposit and open up tee times for that weekend.

After Trump's comments on immigrants, then saying poor people shouldn't play golf, this isn't really a surprise.

But with the way this year is going, it looks like it the Grand Slam could be only 2 versus 1

http://espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/13214781/pga-america-pulls-grand-slam-golf-donald-trump-course

The comments were directed on ILLEGAL imigrants coming into this courty breaking the law from mexico. it was honest and direct.

the liberal media had a hay day with it, the pink hats followed.

Donald made an honest statement of what he believed in, no one has to agree with it, nor vote for him but many will support him.

NBC cancels the apprentice with Donald as a result, meanwhile Brian Williams gets a new jobfor not telling the truth!  I don't get it?

The PGA is wrong and should have let the story fade. IMO

LOL, the sheep (NBC, PGA, etc) following the lead of the liberal media and PC police.  The truth hurts sometimes and obviously some can't handle it.  Mexico isn't sending us their top business minds, we're getting their bottom 20% and yes some are criminals and even rapists and murderers.  These people have committed a crime by crossing the border illegally, some have committed a felony by returning after they were deported.  In the end they are all criminals based on the current laws of the United States.

Trump is laughing all the way to the bank, the moves haven't cost him a dime, as they are contractually bound to pay him.  In a few months no one will care what Trump said and all these organizations that took a stand against Trump will be forgotten.  I hope Trump moves the Apprentice to Fox and kicks NBC's butt in the ratings.

I disagree with how The Donald conveys his messages and therefore I refuse to play any of his courses from here on out.......

I think he'll survive financially without your business Rick.

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
