So with the conclusion of the Open those of us in the UK can no look forward to a meagre 2 hours of highlights a day from next year. This means we have the option of a) putting up with it or b) getting Sky Sports.

Its a real shame the BBC didnt fight harder to keep the golf, for many of us who already have Sky, to pay extra just for the golf isnt a good option, but Money talks as the say.

I have a plan however. There is more to golf than just the PGA and european tours, sure we will have the Walker Cup televised, there are is the Challenge Tour and Europro tour, the Alps Tour and others.

Sky currently show a 2 hour "best of" each week of the Challenge and Europro so why not sell this to thr BBC.

The BBC has always been good at taking  a sport and making it good to watch. They did it with Rallycross (now a World championship) and Britsh Touring cars (better than F1) so maybe they could do the same with the Tier 2 and 3 tours, mayber even show the US Web.com and NGA tours?

I for one would be happy to watch up and coming Pro's than no golf at all and with 5 BBC channels free to view they could show more than 2 hours.

That said, Sky can keep ther Trillby Tour (seriously, Google it!)

Wow, that feels better. Im all destressed now.

That would be pretty frustrating.

As much as I like to complain about the cable bill, we're spoiled rotten here in the US. I can see virtually anything that I want to see.

Along with the standard assortment of American sports, we have the European PGA and Premier League football on weekend mornings. There's nothing better than frying up some sausage and bacon for breakfast, flipping on what's good and relaxing for an extra couple of hours before getting after it in the afternoon.

The Open has a live feed in their website... Frankly it's better than the ESPN coverage since we get to actually see golfers who AREN'T Americans. As an example, during the recent Open, Mike Tirico stated- (maybe slight paraphrase) "There's a few groups out there on course, but since there aren't any Americans, we'll be ending our coverage at this point". Nice...
