One of the most interesting set of holes I've played is at Lahinch in Ireland.  The 4th, a par 5, plays through a valley between steep dunes.  At the end of that valley, a 30-foot high sand dune crosses the hole, so you're hitting blind over it.  The next is a 160-ish yard par 3, which also requires a blind shot over another dune.  Even more interesting, both holes cross the line of play for the  18th hole.  This type of design would never be allowed in today's world, but since Old Tom Morris did it this way 100 years ago, its perfectly fine now.

Just finished playing a Tom Doak course. Doak was influenced by working with Pete Dye in his early graduate years and actually heavily contoured landscapes himself with a tractor. Hard to pick one hole today but his three pars are really difficult, so here is #12. Note the elevation change from front to back. Must carry the marsh and bunker; offline from the tee your dead. Bailout is right, but if pin in back tough pitch.

It resembles a hole I play locally

Played a nice course yesterday with a country setting on the river. Has one of the nicest finishing holes in the area. 18's elevated tees looking down towards the historic Obici House (founder of Planters Peanuts) and the river is beautiful. Depending on where you are in the fairway it's a blind shot over or around the tall marsh grass to a partially bulkheaded small green. Water left, marsh in front, and bunkers right. Either play right from tee or to the flat part of the fairway over the first fairway bunker. Left carries marsh, right carries bunkers depending on pin placement.

wish I had a picture of it, I play this one course when I got to visit my parents in north Carolina on a mountain called wolf laural. There's a par 3 that the tee box is about 100-140 feet above the green depending on which tee. The bluetee box is about 185 yards but plays about 130. Your about 80 feet higher then the trees around the green so even if you hit a perfect shot the wind can gust and push you right into the woods. Found a picture online I think is the right hole Here's another picture from online

This hole doesn't look that difficult, yet I love it
