This is OT, but weather related. If you're at a range, where the base is concrete and the stations are covered, there is wiring running through the stations for lights and heat - not a range attached to a course w/grass, that's generally protected from lightning, yes?

nope...   you are still taking a piece of metal and sticking it in the air...

also, there is a TREMENDOUS amount of potential energy in lightning...   it could easily jump from anything nearby to either you or your club...

i wouldn't do it...   as noted in previous post, thunder alone = no golf for me...
