The two young lads slipping back today after playing Carnoustie, obviously playing tougher than the other two courses.

Thorbjorn Oleson takes the lead on -17. He shoots a 65 on the Old course.

Oleson's partner in the pro-am event is Kelly Slater ,they are 4 off the lead at 26 under.

Ernie Els explaining that putt. Looked at from another angle, it looks much longer than in the video above - almost 3 feet. Link to the video in this piece:

Exciting finish.

Oleson still 2 ahead after 8 holes.

Koepka,Cink,Mcdowell and Els two shots back.

Good for him- I know he has struggled this year after some flashes of brilliance in previous years. I think injury?

Wow 12 players within 2 of the lead now.

    • Day 142 - 2025-02-19 Had 45 minutes after some GEARS lessons and before a junior. Got some good work in.
    • He wasn't a bad guy. And he was just trying to get out there and get some fresh air and exercise. He ended up liking the new cane a lot, because in addition to not making pock marks on the greens, it also stood up by itself. He didn't have to hand it to somebody to hold while he hit his shot. Or lean it against the cart. It would just stand up by itself. ... Kind of like those stand up putters. ... 🤣
    • Sounds like you guys came up with a great solution.
