We were just there… and had our Newport Cup at Moon Valley CC.

That looks like it was a blast.  I doubt I'll be high enough up in the hierarchy here at this site by next year to play,  but would love the chance.

The next one is in 2017… on the east coast. :-) You may qualify for that one. You should list your handicap index in your profile (and some other things too).

It was an absolute blast, a great bunch of guys to play with and against.  Mike and Erik did an outstanding job of organizing it.  Before you decide you won't be "high enough in the heirarchy", I'll let you know that I had only been a member of TST for about 6 months at the time I was invited.  Erik could tell you why I was selected (he may choose not to), but I'm guessing that I had been generally active in the forums, I had treated other posters with respect, I had a handicap in the right range, and I was available.  It really didn't matter why I got invited, I was really happy to have the chance.

Not to mention you are pretty darn clutch and are a very solid partner.

    • I watched that video a few days ago. I chuckled at him saying it is so much easier to set up than plopping a GC3 down and turning it on. I love how he did his test hitting AlmostGolf balls, too. 🤦🏼‍♂️
    • Has anyone tried this? Just came across it.
    • Actually through BlueGolf the 9-hole calculation is still the old version. There's other issues to apply, I guess might be the BlueGolf system that is not updated yet. The other thing I have doubt, is where can I find in the rules of handicapping information about Modified Handicap with a capital letter on the side "M", these capital letters still aplies ? Other doubt, do you know any system that the player can post the score, and for peer review the partners can validate the score as marker on the app or system of handicap? Best.
    • I recently conducted an interview with Fred Couples on behalf of Questions For Cancer Research.  Below, I've posted a link to Part I and we'll soon be releasing Part II.  Enjoy! Chris O'Gorman
    • I can't access the Brazil Golf organization's information, perhaps you can tell us what you think its being done wrong.  I do know that lots of people were confused with the new method of "completing" 9-hole rounds based on "expected score" for the unplayed holes.
