Unfortunately , I recently injured my hip .  Have pain from my thigh to my foot and am going to physical therapy . Any recommendations  for a good golf shoe that might be best for hip/leg pain ?

Orthotic inserts could increase your walking efficiency and reduce some wear and tear. I don't you'd find a shoe that solves your issues on its own.

My stock answer when anyone mentions pain is check with your doctor.

Myself, I have lots of metal and screws in my left leg.  I wear a pair comfortable walking shoes, instead of golf shoes. This allows me more freedom of movement, and less pressure on those metal pieces.

I agree with Swede and Patch. Check with your PT. Orthotics may help but it could just be something else. The PT can definitely check you out on this and you should be telling them about this problem.

These days, many PTs are familiar with golf, and the strain a golf swing can put on an injured body part. The PT might suggest that a certain golfer should curtail that full swing for a couple of weeks until the hip heals.
