I just tried to google it too, and didn't find anything.  I just remember it being there, back near the toilets.  One of my buddies required a beer to be able to continue!  I stopped every morning to get a bacon roll to take to the course, and carried a bottle of water.

It's off topic, but how would you stop at the halfway house thing at the Old Course? It's not on the way at all. It's out by the water, about as far away from the first tee as possible.

7/11 green is out the farthest with 9 being on the little "hook" part, of course, but that's why I said "about as far away."

Links Clubhouse

The St Andrews Links Clubhouse is the clubhouse for the Old, New and Jubilee Courses. It has full locker room facilities as well as the Swilcan Restaurant. A buggy will take you from the clubhouse to the first tee. There is also a licensed food cart at the 9th hole of the Old Course which sells hot and cold snacks.

I still wonder how often it's open… :-)

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear, I stopped in the town before playing to get my provisions, at a place in South Street called Munch (Home of probably the best bacon roll in the world).  And to make this on-topic at least a little, the person attending the food cat was a guy, not a girl.
