I would seriously doubt that Cobra would build non-conforming clubs, so provided you can build the clubs to the spec you need, go ahead and use these clubs.  If not, you can build for others/sell the clubs and at least recover your money.  The case can make a nice paperweight though if you want, or even better, a clothes rack

What's in the bag

  • Taylor Made r5 dual Draw 9.5* (stiff)
  • Cobra Baffler 4H (stiff)
  • Taylor Made RAC OS 6-9,P,S (regular)
  • Golden Bear LD5.0 60* (regular)
  • Aidia Z-009 Putter
  • Inesis Tour 900 golf ball

I can't see why not. That's a fitter cart. They can swap out different heads and shafts, but they are meant to be hot as part of the fitting. I think they usually screw together at the hosel. Might need to tighten them every now and then.

Not sure whether the "screw together" aspect would make them non-conforming, but that would be the only difference between these and any other club you buy from Cobra.

Thanks for the info, I'm worried i might forget to tighten the driver and it goes flying off, that would be funny unless i hurt someone.

I paid $50 for it.

$50??

Holy Shit, that's a total steal. You can't even buy one after market driver shaft for $50 let alone a cart full of them.

As for you fear of forgetting to tighten the connections, I imagine you could put a little dab of epoxy once you identify the best fit for your swing.

@baw333, now that is the way to make a deal.  I would imagine you can build yourself and a couple of other people full sets for a total investment of say 100$.  If you really wanted to set up a small business at home could easily sell that stuff for way over a 1,000$.

Ensure you fit the clubs for yourself that you like and then worry about the rest of the clubs.  Good luck
