I have a taylormade rsi1 three iron and was wondering the difference, if any, between it and the other driving irons on the market like the taylormade udi (ultimate driving iron). Is there something special about one that is labeled a driving iron or is it really no different than the 3 iron you can get with the rsi2 set? My 3 iron has a loft of 17 degrees and you can get a udi with a loft of 18.

Pretty sure the UDI launches much lower because it's for higher swing speed/low handicap users to hit off of the tee. The Rsi1 3 iron is made to launch high and help you hold the green.

Yeah what @SavvySwede said. The UDI can be used from the fairway as well, but i wouldn't recommend it from any kind of deep rough.
