What about 9 hole rounds?

No need, in fact, you need to include those as long as they're on rated courses. You need to find out the 9-hole rating if it's just half of an 18-hole course. If it's not posted, the pro shop should know it, or you can try to look it up through the USGA website. You then start from your first 9-hole round and pair up consecutive 9-hole rounds (irrespective of the time between them) into 18-hole rounds. Using the 9-hole rating and slope for each 9, you compute the 18-hole rating as the sum of the two ratings and the slope as the average of the two slopes (rounding to the nearest integer, 0.5 rounds up). You then submit the sum of those two scores with a C after to indicate that it's a combined score.

Follow the link that was just posted to get the full details.

In the bag:
FT-iQ 10° driver, FT 21° neutral 3H
T-Zoid Forged 15° 3W, MX-23 4-PW
Harmonized 52° GW, Tom Watson 56° SW, X-Forged Vintage 60° LW
White Hot XG #1 Putter, 33"

Thanks. This will actually lower my index a few strokes. I play much better on 9 alone.

I have always just taken my 10 most recent scores and averaged my total over par. I know that's not correct. Whats the best way to get a real handicap? How do you all do it?

    • Day 21 - Good session with driver and 6i. Hitting real golf balls is quite a bit different from the foam balls, still getting used to that change.
    • There are so many videos comparing and contrasting everything that I am both overwhelmed and more than a bit skeptical. Your comments above are much more valuable than hours of you-tube videos. Generally speaking, I’d much prefer to read something that someone took the time and trouble to write (such as your comments) than a bunch of videos, or worse, meaningless reviews that seem like they are all cut and paste selections of the same script. I’m more of a RTFM type than a watcher of “instructional” videos. By way of explanation, I don’t watch TV either.  So thanks - I’ll take that under advisement. I have an H3 that I bought for $10 that I’ve been carrying around but not sure why. Seems like a cool club, but I just don’t really know what to do with it.
    • I was using the window as a mirror. Just trying to be a more aware of the feels for a better backswing. Trying to not be as closed from A1 to A2. Then not letting the club head flip inside. What I was feeling was a pressure my right wrist, and like the palm of my right hand was pushing upward against the grip of the club. My right hand was the underside of the swing path.  Going to play around with this a bit more. It looked pretty decent with mirror/window work. Just wanted to jot it down.
    • Day 4: 3/26/25 Par4Success workout followed by putting through 50 mm gates.
    • Day 249: did a stack putting session and then worked on 5 foot putts for a bit.
