Who do you think would best be able to score on 72 holes packing their own bag,(for this ? a proper carry bag will do), and relying only on themselves for EVERTHING.My pick...Boo Weekly

This is a pretty cool question. I'd still have to go with Tiger. I'm sure he doesn't have Stevie with him every round outside of competition and I'd be willing to bet he can shoot some stupid low numbers. It also helps that he is probably in the top 5 golfers as far as fitness is concerned, if not numero uno.

I would have to agree with Tiger. He is the best player in the world, but he is also likely the best conditioned guy on Tour. I'm sure he could pace off his own distances if he needed to.

I'll also have to go with Tiger. Not only because of his skill, but like the others said, he's very well conditioned.

Bubba Watson. Because how heavy can a driver, two wedges, a mid-iron, and a putter really be?

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

How about Camillo. Didn't he just get through doing that at the University of Florida? I don't think it would be that big of a deal since most of them have done it before.

I would have to agree with Camillo. That guy is in ridiculous shape. I bet you could make a great argument that he is in as good or better shape than tiger. He may not look as big as Tiger, but Camillo is pretty jacked. As well he's not that far removed from playing competition with out a caddy.

Size WOULD be an issue, as the larger a player is, the smaller % of their own weight they would be carrying.

Maybe bubba W. He is looking pretty fit on the Merril Lynch Shootout.

Off topic but... anyone think that C.V. would be a good candidate for the upcoming GARY PLAYER

Absolutely Tiger. He could probably carry his staff bag and still throw down.

I don't think so. You can get that way with eating right and working out right. If he works out like he said he does in "My World" I have no doubt that it's natural...by natural I mean no steroids.

I would agree. He is likely natural. He is a young guy and based on pictures from college he has always been pretty lean. He was on Golf Fitness Academy and his workout looks pretty solid. I think some of his demeanor comes from the fact that English is still a second language for him. Overall he seems like a good guy.

I agree with both of you.Only thing that I see is the chance of Tim Herron,Steve Lowery, and other not so fit players being asked to test is way down the scale compared to C.V. and a few others. The Tour says they will test in 2008 and I think they will be 'targeting certain players most likely to ELIMINATE them'.I know I am not alone in wondering if Gary Player is right, who is he referring to.

If Tiger's test comes back negative, does it really matter what everyone else is doing?

You are joking,right???

No. I'm being dead serious. If Tiger's clean and he keeps winning, really, does it matter what everyone else does?

    • Day 48. Got out at lunch to the range to hit some driver shots. Haven’t had much practice there. Focused on setup suggested by @iacas and found some very playable results. I did try to hit a couple of bunker shots after that with much less success 🙃
    • Got a rare birdie on #18 Par 5.  Drive was good and left me in range of the green.  I was @ 210 from the center and needed @ 180 to clear a hazard area.  Green had bunkers lest, right and on back. had been struggling and most shots were short so I took the 225 club figuring back of green hit well. i did hit it well, @ 229 per SS and dead on—kind at the pin.  Ended up @ 1 foot off the back in short rough and lucky for me it was a back pin placement.  Chipped about 15 feet leaving a 3 feet putt for par which I sunk.
    • Yea, so to clarify for me. I do not feel the clubface much in the swing. I feel the weight of the club. I can feel if I hit the club off the heel or toe. When I try to feel if the clubface is open or closed in the swing, I feel it more with my hands, and less of the clubhead. I would classify majority of my swings as not feeling like the clubface does much of all. It feels like I hold the clubface open. In the finish, it doesn't feel like my left hand faces the ground. It feels more like it faces the sky. I will try to be more aware of this, but it was just the sensation I got when I was making what felt like good swings. For the most part, I was hitting slight draws or slight pushes.  On this golf trip, I had to hit a low 8 iron around a tree to the green. I made an alignment adjustment, and actively try to roll my hands a bit more to get it to sling around the corner. I do have a habit of not adjusting how the clubface comes through impact, and I can still hit the ball straight-ish even moving the ball way back in my stance and trying to swing out more.  Yea, my feels are more hands and arms, less actually feeling the clubface.
    • That truly had me laughing. Thanks If anyone is interested Sun Day Red is live. I clicked on the hats, seem they are sold out. Shorts 130 bucks, shirts 120, everything seems to be sold out already, at least from what I clicked on. 130 for shorts, I'll pass.
