and loses the Dunhill with an 8 on the last hole. UNBELIEVABLE! When was the last time do you think Ernie ever made an 8 on a par 5, much less on the last hole of a tournament.

That was one of the most shocking things I've ever seen in golf...

Don't think I ever have in my life. Ernie carries himself so care free on the course, doesn't show a bit of stress. I bet even after losing and dropping 2 in the drink he was still smiling.

Dude, that is a heartbreaker!

Even Phil's and Monty's collapses at last year's U.S. Open don't compare to what Els did today. I think there is a serious mental hurdle going on for him right now, it might have something to do with all the Tiger beatdown's and Phil beating him on the last hole at the '04 Masters. Something isn't quite right, that's for sure.

It was a very upsetting sight for sure,and I hope that his confidence level does not hit rock bottom like so many before him.As far as E.E. taking on T.W. any time soon,he better make sure he can first take on Joe Blow.I don't think he will let today get to him.He is WAY to good!

I believe he made a 9 in the final round of the Masters a few years ago, on hole 13. He drove the ball into the left woods, his second was knock down into Rae's Creek, he finally escaped the woods, and it all went down from there...

He dropped out of contention for the tournament on that hole.

What's in my bag:

Driver: R7 CGB Max, regular shaft
4-wood and 7-wood: :: Launcher, regular shafts
4-iron to A-wedge: X-20, regular steel shafts56- and 60-degree wedge: forged, stiff steel shafts, vintage finish, MD groovesPutter: Circa '62, No. 7, steel shaft, 35"Ball: NXT Tour or ProV1(x)...

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
