I was honestly shocked to hear of his passing, as I hadn't heard of him battling an illness.  I enjoyed watching the Sports Reporters and always thought he did a great job of moderating everyone.  Poor Hannah Storm, this is the 2nd passing of an ESPN colleague that she's had to announce on the air!  She's becoming the official announcer of death and doom!

I don't watch ESPN much at all, but I do think John Saunders was a professional and I always appreciated when he was on. More reporter than "celebrity desk jockey," which I liked.

Ditto on both points!

I remember being surprised to find him on the wall at Lawson Ice Arena back in the day when BG visited Western Michigan. He played all of 2 games for our old CCHA rivals and had one minor penalty, but they were pretty proud of him.
