Sorry to hear about your shoulder.

I have played exactly once this season, so I understand the withdrawal. Thankfully, my lack of play is not due to injury.

Best wishes for a faster than expected recovery.

Saw the dr again today. Bad news is its a nasty sprain. Good news is no surgery and wont miss the family vacation to Disney over it. Another week and I should be back to work. Dr says it might be two more before I can golf again but Ive come along way from where Ive been. Pain is barely there and I can drive myself around. Still in a sling, and got two rounds of physical therapy to go but looks like Ill be on the mend quicker than expected! Whooooohooo!! Thanks for all the well wishes!!!! Still gonna be three missed rounds which sucks, but given the alternative, ILL TAKE IT!!! :)

Consider yourself lucky you don't live in the UK. It could quite easily be a year before you go under the knife.

We're lucky over here. We have Obamacare!

Stealthhawk, I might suggest this as a mental exercise. Don't know which shoulder you ripped, but, if you can, take a pen to paper and write down all of the thoughts you had when playing or practicing golf. Include lengthy descriptions of how the swing felt.

I've found that writing things down implants them in the brain in a way that nothing else will. And referring to these notes when you're getting ready to come back to the game could really kick start and accelerate the process, I think. After all, this isn't just generic instruction. This is YOUR swing!

Id like to like this post 30 dozen times!!! Maybe @iacas can create a new award called post of the year!! Thats really geeat stuff!! Ive quit golf for one reason or another four times since I started playing. I almost didnt come back the last time cus I knew someday this day would come. So after my return, I spent much time trying to figure out how I play golf so that I can own my swing. Lessons failed me and were the reason I quit golf last time. One day a friend asked me why i sucked more than before. My answer was "I forgot how to play golf while I was gone". He said well, this time...maybe u should write it down so u dont suck quite this bad when u return. I have assembled the most detailed journal I could come up with. Now it just needs to be put to the test. Again, great advice, even tho my buddy beat u to the punch. That kind of wisdom can really help someone. Insert golf clap here :)
