That was a popular style, for a while, do to the success Jack Nicklaus had with an over-sized...MacGregor?  All the others I've seen have been black.  Three people I play with have them and one guy uses it exclusively.  Great find.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."

Seen one. Used one. Don't remember what ever happened to it. I have a 500g putter that looks like the OP's pict. I use it some times on really slow greens.

Funny this topic came up. Yesterday my wife and I went shopping at some 2nd hand stores for one of her charity things.

While at a place called Savers, I was off by myself in the sporting goods section. In a bin full of some really ugly looking clubs (rusted Sam Sneads) was a putter that caught my eye. No price was on it, so I asked some guy. He put a $1.99 sticker on it. I bought it. On the bottom is stamped "White Hot XG #9". Looks almost brand new. I will give it some play time, but it's not likely to replace my cheapie gamer.

In My Bag:
A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......
