Tips on apporch shots

I am 15 years old i started playing before the summer started i shot 240 now i shoot in the mid 90's but i could shoot lower if i could play shots better from 100 yards and in so is there any one out there that can give me some tips

Driver Sumo 10.5 stiff flex
3 Wood Eye 2
Hybrids 18 and 22 degree torch
Irons 5-pw sliver scot
Wedges 54 degree deep red 60 degree cg11 2 dot
Putter Nexxt pulse series

Wow, that's a dramatic improvement in a very short amount of time. Most people spend a large portion of their time trying to break 100, let alone worrying about hitting in the 80's after a few months of picking up the game. Advice, practice with purpose, don't go to the range to just hit balls. Try to work on 50/70/100yrd. pitch shots one day, work on bump and runs another, bunker work another and so on.

Study the pros' impact position because you need to have crisp ball contact and a square clubhead to be successful with wedges.

Just google 'golf impact position' there are a lot of good articles.

Calibrate your wedges...

Here is a link at the titleist website, scroll to the bottom and watch the video "calibrate your wedges" Do this with all your wedges, it helps big time...

There are so many things to do but I'd like to point out something mentioned in another thread. Make sure you are not gripping too far at the end of the club. This does wonders for accuracy if it's been off.

The other thing I recommend is hitting some 5 irons at the 100 yard marker.

Ringer, I don't think this is such a good idea. Just yesterday I walked out to the 100 yard marker with my 5i and started to hit balls. It is really hard to do when all those golfers back at the teeing area hitting PW'es at you.

I dont remember saying anything about hitting balls. I said HIT SOME 5 IRONS. I'm sure you can find a bunch of Demo's in the shop they'll let you use. Just make sure that when you start bleeding on your knuckles to put some disinfectant on it.

did u mean hit a 5 iron 100 yards or go to the 100 yard marker and hit shots off the grass
