I have but one question: how can they show so much golf without showing any golf?!?!

In other words, the coverage is terrible. They have so many goofy little segments and tributes and so on that they don't seem to get to show much actual golf. We see Mickelson and/or Vijay tee off, then we don't hear from them for a few holes.

What gives?

Agreed.

I woke up at 6am to watch some golf before I have to go to work. Well, I have been watching for 2 hours, and all I've seen was a little from Tiger and a little from Jack. And most of that was putting. :/

I may just sleep in tomorrow.

Thankfully I have Tivo. I can fast forward the nonsense. 7 hours coverage equates to about 1.5 hours of golf.

Edit - At least Berman is not doing the coverage. :barf:

Yeah, the British Open is definitely a TiVo event. But I don't have TiVO. I seriously need to invest in that pretty soon.

That being said, I'm about to leave work early and go home and watch the afternoon coverage. I'm not sure if it's replay or not, I guess some of it is.

I'm not sure what coverage we're getting here in .au, but it seems pretty thorough to me. All day yesterday they had the "history" stuff but once the guys were on the course it was all business. I reckon I saw half of all Tiger's shots, in fact all of Tiger's group (Allenby and Olazabl) got plenty. I don't remember any of Jack's drives apart from the first one, but lots of approachs and (missed) putts.

I went to bed after watching Lefty putt out on the 4th.

I'm already sleep deprived and the Ashes don't start for another week. I am doomed.

He DQ'd himself after the round because he said he putted a tap in put while it was moving. No one else saw it but him.

That or he just wanted to WD for some reason and had to make up a good excuse.
