Need a better putting station

I've a decent practice area in back yard with cage and fairway markers, but really no place to practice putts and therefore neglected. I've been reduced to using a strip of indoor/outdoor carpet and putting into the bell shaped end of two grey PVC pipes stuck together. This is not half bad as the pipe is just slightly larger than a golf ball and the ball will pop back out as it hits the smaller diameter of the pipe where it is past the bell.  I did see a putting aid with ball return at a local big 5 store for around $25, but did not like the "feel" of the turf.

Grab a wide metal yard stick.   You can practice just putting the length of it.
