I have not posted or read anything on the forums for over a month now because tournament news has been rather sparse.  There has been some news however:  Mr Trump who builds some very nice courses has been elected POTUS.  There will be a new PGA Tour Commish on Jan 1st, 17.  SOS Re: Tiger news:  Spotted testing this club or that club, entering and withdrawing from this tournament and that tournament because he still needs 5 or 10 more years to get back to the form he wants to have to be able to compete and win.  Sadly, we lost "The King!"  There is some speculation that the Tour schedule will go back to Jan-Sep.  ESPN 30 for 30 on John Daly was pretty interesting.  And....Of course, NFL/College Football, The Excellent MLB Play Offs and World Series with the "Cubbies" finally getting it done, and then the National Election in the USA unlike anything we have ever witnessed before.

I personally (Living on Long Island) have been taking advantage of some very nice weather to get in as many rounds as I can before the cold weather gets here.  We have had great "Indian Summer" weather on Long Island.  So...There has been not too much excitement tournament wise, but it will be upon us soon enough.  FWIW:  I think that a Jan-Sep schedule in the future will help to retain the interest in Professional Golf.  The players need an off season and trying to compete with football has proven to be an uphill fight!  :-)

We try to post news as much as we can. The tournaments this time of year are rather low key, so it's tough to generate excitement. In the US, we have the holidays from Thanksgiving through the new year, which tends to be busier in non-golf terms. Also for the northerners, golf season is coming to a close.

But I do recommend to stay in touch with the site and golf news in general. I do enjoy watching a tournament that is someplace warm when it's 12 degrees out in Boston with 3 feet of snow on the ground. It gives me hope! :-) Also, this is a great time of year to work on fitness and flexibility to prep yourself for next season if you are snowbound.
