I'm relatively new to golf and hoped someone out there could save me some time and effort. I've been playing for 2 yrs and after some trial and error I finally found a ball that love. The Nike One Rzn Black. I heard that they are not being made anymore. Has anyone that has played this ball , played anything else that is similar? Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of golf balls available and many perform similarly.

My recommendation is to grab a sleeve of a few different similarly priced models (only because price and performance are pretty closely linked, generally speaking) and play a few rounds or holes with each.

I agree, especially for premium golf balls. They tend to perform very close together. You can kinda get a wider spread of performance on cheaper golf balls.

I was hanging out in the golf section at our local Academy sporting goods while my wife finished up some Christmas shopping a couple days ago.  They had the nike rzn black and platinum on clearance for $20.  You may be able to stock up on some pretty cheap while you figure out what ball to play next.

J M Brown, You are the man! I found that deal online at Academy. I'm stocked up for quite awhile. Thanks!

That worked out great.

if your wanting a ball that plays and feels like a Nike ball. go play the Bridgestone balls. Bridgestone made Nike balls for years and Tiger even said that him self. i jus came from play the Nike RZN Tour Dot ball and the RZN Tour Platinum balls. and i went and picked up two boxes of bridgestone balls and got a mother box for free from dicks sporting goods. paid 80.00 for 3boxes of Bridgestone B330 RX, B330 RXS, B330 S.  after playing everyone of those for 18holes each ball. i'm loving the B330 S and the B330RXS. they hold their line in the air and the new Slip Res spins so much around the greens. i'm able to spin the B330S a whole lot more then a ProV1. i lost distance playing a ProV1. B330S i gained distance and have great ball control and spin control with my irons and. wedges, putting didn't take long at all to get used to the Bridgestone balls.

Proto,

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I was out my home course recently after the round there was a Bridgestone live fitting event at the range. It free so I did it, it's the first time I've ever hit with a launch monitor. I got done good info, I found out my swing speed is between 118-113 for 10 recorded swings. Maybe more importantly I found that my back and side spin numbers are higher than I would like as well. It was suggested that I hit the 330 or the RX. I bought a 3 pack of all four of the 330 series. I found the RXS and 330-S to be a little too high spin for me, similar to the ProV. The RX was a good ball for me, although shorter off the T than my new go to the 330. For me the 330 is longer and easier to control than the others works well for my short games and even had the feel that I like off the putter. Thanks again for tip.

i really enjoy the b330 series. i was never a fan of the bridgestone balls i guess cause the ones was trying was the e6 and friends said good things about it until i bought sum and felt the cover and to lil hard feels me. that's when i started to play the nike rzn black and loved it and played the rzn tour dot and is still my favorite ball. i still have few boxes of those and prob will never hit since i'll never come across those ever again.

I've been using the 330 RXS since the weather has been cooler. I tried the 330S last summer liked it a lot. I hit the 330 a little straighter and a little further than the 330S.

    • Not really, no. I don't know the history, what you've worked on, what you've tried and moved away from… etc.
    • Day 9: 2/16/25 Putting through 50 mm gates from 11”. Swing pressure shift drills.
    • Definitely not a favorite… For some reason my wife and I started watching Cobra Kai. I know the original was pretty cheesy, but the inability of these people to get over shit that happened like 30 years ago is astounding. And these kids would be arrested, but they don’t even seem to get suspended from school. Would Danny not notice that Johnny’s son looks like Johnny? Etc.? Why would a completely different dojo that has the same name be “banned”? Oy. Not sure we’ll make it to season 2.
    • Day 139 - 2025-02-16 Weather led to a rescheduled GEARS lesson, so I used the time to work on my swing for 60 minutes or so. All downswing stuff. Some swings at 93 MPH. Most around 75-80.
    • A question I have is…this swing (fade, pull cut) does not  feel as good and easily repeatable as the draw swing we were working on previously.  I’m kinda in a weird spot where I do not know which direction will be the best to pursue. I like seeing a penetrating 5 yard draw but also like the thought of the fade not getting away from me as much.    Any thoughts on that?
