Mine was a while ago(havent played for a while due to weather) on a dogleg par 4. I hit my tee shot with my club a little open and I scliced it bad. I turned around, mumbling swear words to myself, when my dad said, "LOOK!". It sliced around the dogleg on accident and I was about a 100 yards out. Hit my PW to the back of the green and two-putted for par.

Best shot I had wasn't this week - but while on vacation down in Arizona a couple weeks ago. (Still lots of snow here in Utah) It was on the par 5 2nd at Phantom Horse Golf Club , and my second shot was a 3 wood from just right of the lake - the GPS on the cart said I was out 265. I crushed it, but it was drifting left - it took a very gracious bounce off the grass mound and rolled down to a 30 inch putt for eagle!

Now for the worst shot.

I missed the Putt!

Hi

what a boring thread of self absorbed rubbish!!

bet Tiger doesn't walk into the hotel room after his round and say to Elin, 'hey, do you wanna hear about my round today- i made 6 birdies, an eagle and eleven pars..no shanks or tops either!!

lets hear about your worst shots of the week-much more interested to hear that!

regards

bb69

I think if Tiger had missed a 30 inch putt for his first eagle ever, he would have told Elin (More likely his Pops). And I told Jen.

Still trying for that eagle...

Played today (lucked out with some great weather).

Best: Par 5. Hit a great drive up the right side. 200 left. 5i flew right over the pin and stopped about 12 feet behind the hole. Missed the putt though. Oh well, tap in birdies ain't bad.

Worst: Par 4. Busted a drive up the middle, about 40 yds from the green. Chunked the pitch. It only made it about half way to the green. Failed to get up and down after that.

What's in the bag?

best: par 5 hooked my drive but hit it a long way. had about 190 left to the hole. unfortunately i was on hard dirt behind a lot of trees. planned to hit my 6 iron over the trees but i hit it low and somehow the ball goes thru all the branches and leaves get and gets on the green. miss eagle by like 1 centimeter, but im okay with birdies :)

worst: like the post above.. i too hit my drive had about 30 yards left to green. i was on some really soft soft soft floor, and somehow my club goes in the ground and i chunk it completely... next shot straight hosel shot... then im in a bunker.. get out and in lcukily but ... yeah bad hole.

I got to go out and play for the first time in 2007. Ended up shooting 76 on a bad putting day, so this year is really looking promising for me.

The shot of the day came at the last hole. I first crushed a drive right down the middle. I only had about 60 yards to the pin (which was in the back) on a hole that plays 394 yards. I hit a lob wedge to about a foot and tapped it in for a birdie three.

Good times...but you already knew that because I said I was golfing

330 yard par 4 - straight. My drive stopped 2 yards from the green, directly in the middle of the face of the green. At 5' 9" 150 lbs I don't exceed 300 yards too often (~once every other year). The result was a beautiful chip and 2 putt for par :(

I hit a crazy shot today - using my sandwedge from about 30 yards on a par 3 in the semi rough, hit it way to strong, it hits the flagstick in about 1.5m height and it drops like a stone along the flagstick into the hole. It really looked like the backspin of the ball actually speeded the ball down the stick - very very strange shot...

I shot snow out of my Yard Machine Snow Thrower a good 15 yards. I was able to both draw and fade the snow by simply cranking the handle left and right. I did have to deal with a serious wind that kept blowing snow in my face. ;)

It is actually not too bad here today. It will be in the 40's. Unfortunately, we need about 15 days like this in a row and some serrious rain to get rid of all of the snow.

The upside is, my wife has given me the nod to start looking at irons. Yeah for me and her. Early favorites would be Nike CCi, Titleist 775 cb, Ping Rapture.

I hit the green from 195 in the fairway with a hybrid on #16 at the Palm Course at Desert Springs and two putted for par. Pretty low percentage of that happening for a guy like me, so I was pretty happy.

I played on Sunday and got paired with a +handicap guy. On the par 5 7th (585 yard) he layed up to about 105, I layed up to 90. He hit his wedge shot 3 yards behind the pin and backed it up to 2 inches. I hit my wedge 2ft on the green, it bounced once, checked and left me 5 inches. We called those good, good

Saturday wasn't playing well at all, finally on the 15th hole fed up with my driver took a 3-wood off the tee on a 410 yard par 4. Stuck it in the middle of the fairway about 160-165 out. Took my 8 iron and had the cleanest contact all day and stuck it about 10' from the pin and had a nice two putt par.

I was having a pretty horrible game. 15th hole par 3. Hit my tee shot so fat the ball barely passed the ladies tee and shanked my next shot to about 50 yards out. Took out my pitching wedge and swiped wildly at the ball. It flew up to the elevated green, took one bounce and went in for par. First time I smiled that day =D

I played in a best ball tourney last weekend. 515 yard par 4 that doglegs left and then goes down hill. We used my drive of 310 which was probably my longest ever. I benefited from a high draw and a tail wind. Since we used my ball I played first and hit a nice 4 iron to the back of the green. I was first to putt and I lagged it to within 2 feet for our birdie. I'm going to a psychiatrist to see if I can remember how to do that again...........

Hit my tee shot on a par three right of the green. Hit a nice 30 foot chip that dropped for birdie. I won six skins on that hole - my playing partners were pretty shocked.

13 is a 90 degree dogleg right with water inside the dogleg. I put my tee ball in the drink and was left with 220 to the flag. I hit my 3 hybrid pin high to 20 feet. My par putt missed short, but I tapped in for a bogey on the hardest hole on the course. I am usually extatic to escape with par there, so after drowning the tee ball, 5 wast just fine.

16th hole at Sugar Bay (Warsaw, Kentucky). 130-ish yard par three, hit my eight iron to within a foot of the hole.

(I then got the yips and settled for par.)
