Yes, I know and consequently have abandoned that. I didn’t mean to suggest otherwise. What I meant to say was that now, while I set my grip with the club in the air in front of me, I feel like it becomes more palmy after I address the ball with club near/on the ground. I suppose I need to tighten my grip a little or maybe it’s just the feel and not real. Nonetheless, I’ll continue to be cognizant of it.

I think you have a new priority piece, @woodzie264:

This is going to change the way the club shaft behaves at the top, how you get there, etc.

You need to make sure EVERY time you grip the club it's as far into the fingers as you can stand. And then a little bit more. 🙂

The red lines show how much of your "hand" goes out past the grip (the black thing between the red and yellow lines) and the yellow shows the distance between the grip and your wrist. The white shows the end of your knuckles.

In the top picture I've gripped it in the palm.

In the bottom picture I've gripped it in the fingers. Note the size of the red and yellow lines relative to each other.

This is your priority right now. You should not make another swing again without ensuring that this is right FIRST and does not CHANGE during the swing until it becomes an actual habit.

it’s a sad day when my priority piece in now way involves the swing 😐

this video obviously does not give you a top view at address, but solely is to demonstrates that the club is in my fingers and not the palm

Good. Can you do the thing where you support the club with just the index finger and the heel pad?

The club should be horizontal and with a bit more heel pad on top.

That angle greatly reduces the weight/pressure.

I noticed.  For some reason, when I tilt the club horizontally, despite the handle being in my fingers, I struggle with the club handle rolling into my palm. I’ll try again later today

While “gripping” is my new PP (see immediately above post), still recorded a couple of swings for the sake of recording a swing
