Planning a trip later this month with my Dad and we want to stay somewhere in Houston or in the general area. The perfect scenario would be a hotel with a nice golf course on premises. Last time we went, we GolfNow'd everything and it wasn't bad but he likes the convenience of the course right at the hotel. I checked the Woodlands resort but their hotel isn't available for our dates. Anything within 30 minutes or so of Houston would be perfect. Thank you all!!

Houston isn't really a resort town - you might look for a hotel in the Kingwood area that has playing privileges at the Kingwood CC courses (setting for Tin Cup).

Same thing near GWB Airport hotels and Cypresswood (2 courses), Tour 18, and a few others, couple of places north of Houston come to mind both near Conroe - April Sound & Walden on Lake Conroe (I think both have condo's to rent)

Or you could look here - http://www.gardnertravel.com/pahgp.htm

Very very few stay and plays around Houston. Check on LaToretta in Conroe. I've never played but see them advertise a lot. I think it used to be the April Sound mentioned above. And for some reason, I think stay and play are a couple miles apart - not a true stay and play like you might be thinking/wanting.
