One would think it shouldn't be tough to get the club more something like this with a six iron.  Let the right knee straighten a bit going back.  Then you know keep the head steady while going through.  This is simple stuff yes for sure.  In my defense I just want to include that it's not like I don't agree what's 'better'.  Its not as if I prefer being across.  I've tried to get closer to this many many many many times.  Maybe today I will try again for the millionth time at the range and again look on video and hate myself for not being able to do this simple thing.

That's proof that you can do it.

Look, you asked for our help, and then when we offered our opinions, you said basically "yeah yeah, I can't enjoy golf that way, thanks but no thanks."

Which is fine, but stop being quasi-bi-polar about it all.

Ok,  so worked on it a bit.  Think I got a better thing going with the right hip-felt deeper.   Ballflight was  stronger and with less right in the dispersion.  I actually worked just waving at it with a six iron and noticed my ball with this swing feel was starting left on the little bunts.  I weakened the left hand just a tiny shade and they were nice.  Obviously I hit some at full speed and for me,  today I was really doing better than average in terms of better distance and less rightness of dispersion.  Looking at this though My clubhead is not where I am trying to get it-still backup the shaft and right elbow sucks.

Felt like from the top I could rotate more aggressively without throwing things off kilter.  Didn't get face on but sure didn't feel slidey.  This here is something I can do.

I apologize to all for the quasi bipolar nature of my postings.  I let my emotions get the better of me far too much when it comes to golf ideas and concepts and chat.  I mean no harm.

My dispersion is tightening up.  In no way do I own it yet but trying to implement what was suggested in my own way is showing very solid results at this point.  I am going to continue this...It actually feels good.  Like this...I can get better...Lyrics first 230 are money

I'm pretty sure this was seven iron.  I think I was working on a shorter quicker move to prevent the cross line.  I was into that for a while the quickness going back forced me to come forward quick.  It was not a true swing though.  This move was workable on the range but failed on the course.  I had to get this off an old camera.  Unfortunately for the purposes of the thread I deleted all old videos off my older computer except a couple a couple years back.  I am glad I did except for the purposes of this thread.

I found this one.  This is my long drive swing.  I can't even come close to this anymore but I am more consistent.  Longest I will ever hit it here.

These videos are a great reminder why I need to go on a diet!

Overall I like your swing...especially for an amatuer.

Your tempo and rhythm... and your spine angle through impact needs a little work, IMO. But you have a good swing.

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
    • Day 1: Spent some time hitting some balls. Working on my hips and a “soft” and straight trail arm.
