Hi,
I may be looking for a new standbag, because mine really sets me up.
The divider are really bad so that the club heads always hits each other and sometimes the clubs are stucked in oder hard to get in.

My current bag is a 4 year old cleveland standbag.

I am looking for

... a superb divider which absolutly reduces the club head hits
... easy in and out
... usable on a pullcart in case I am not carrying
... not soooo heavy but definitly don't need the lightest one

Do you have experience with one of the following:

Mizuno GTX
Mizuno Twister III
Ogio Grom

Thank you!

Pings are small and you'll have the same trouble you have now. What kinda price range you in. Sun Mountain MPB has 14 full length dividers. Ogio has their Woode system and that helps keep the clubs separated.

I would recommend the Ogio Grom as I have been researching new stand bags as well and I went to take a look at it in the store and fell in love with it.

Heres a review of it on Sand Trap: http://thesandtrap.com/accessories/o...and_bag_review

I read the review about the Grom but they say that the clubs still swing back and fourth...

The max. price I would say is 150$...

i have a lot of experience with bags. (Im a caddie). In my experience, ping is the best overall. Good straps, good dividers, etc. Ogio's dividers are almost as good (woode system) but the straps (IMO) are not as good. there is a newer callaway that is also very good. since i only carry the bag and deal with the clubs i really do not know about the storage inside of the bag, except that all of them have enough space for balls.

I can't say about the others, but I like my Ogio Grom very much.

The clubs do sway a touch, but they stay organized. I can overload the bag and carry as much junk as I can bear.

And the rubber strap thing does work very well in a golf cart, but I would say I walk 90% of the time and it's very comfortable on my back.

Also the Grom has gripped strips where the irons lay which helps to limit the club movement.

My Mizuno Aerolite 2 bag has got the looks and it only weighs 1.5kg/3.5lbs! Id recomend it to anyone, its only £7O at the most NEW! Its a stand bag but it would fit on a trolley if you want it to!

Hey MizunoMan,

When you tie the bag on trolley, do you have to rotate the bag?
because with my bag, I have to rotate it to tie it with the side onto it and the the club go mad beacuse they don't stay in their place.

When you walk, do the clubs clatter against each other?
I don't care about letting them touch, but I don't like them to click against each other.

Thank you!

personly, i have headcovers on my irons, so i dont kill them , but usually with a trolley they dont clatter.

as far as im aware, im afraid you cannot purchace a stand bag which will fit a trolley perfect. when the aerolite 2 bag is on a trolley it might be a bit off center, but not on its side. It ties on securely and wont fall off!

hope this helps!

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
