My current handicap index or average score is: avg score 100-115
My typical ball flight is: low
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: topping or slice

This is what I've 'trained' myself to do. Short back swing and 'squatty'. I'm able to hit straight mostly, but no distance. If I increase back swing and give my swing more grunt, I top the ball mostly or slice it badly. This method generally keeps me straight, but I'm selling myself short on distance. This posture is not comfortable for me, limits my strength, and I know I can hit much further.

I have to go up an iron for shots. So, if it's a 90-100 yd shot, I have to use 7 or 8 iron where everyone else would use a PW.
