Is it too much height in my shot a good thing?

Edit:  Or maybe not, I guess it's hard for me to tell where a 4 iron peaks since it's a ways out there, or at least further than a wedge.

Yup.

Obviously wedges launch higher.

I hit my shots HIGH, which sometimes stinks in the TX breeze.  I usually need one more club than most of my golf buddies.  I feel like when I become more consistent I will love the height...and right now it helps me to get over trees when I am in a tight spot, but hitting it under a tree limb if very tough for me to pull off.

Sincerely, Art

Wind will do bad things to your game it's what it does. If the wind is at your back a high shot is what you want. If the wind is in your face not so much. From the side you have to allow for it. I would not worry about it so much you are doing just fine.
