I saw an article on youtube called Golf Setup Part 4 Ball Position.  I have always thought I stand to close to the ball probably with all clubs.  In the video he takes a short iron ( 9) puts it in the middle of his stance ( which looks a little wide for a 9 )  flexes his knees a little and puts the club out where the ball should be.   He puts the club there at leans the club over to his left knee.  He says the club should be about one inch above the knee cap.  This is with all clubs.  I tried it with the driver and it feels good but with short irons it seems a little to far away.  Anybody else tried this.  I have always had trouble comming over the top and now I am wondering if I have always been standing to close to the ball.  I have never seen any way to measure where the ball should be other than this.  If it is true it is easy to do.  Look at the video and see what yall think.  Thanks

Take your left hand off the grip, make a fist with a thumbs up, and put the pinkie end of the fist against your zipper. The butt of the club should be about where your thumb is.
