Tour Edge Shaft Tips

I am waiting on an answer from Tour Edge, but thought maybe someone here knows:

Will the tip that comes with the XCG-7, fit other models, specifically the beta's?  I like the smaller head size of the beta and am thinking I could get a head only and use with a couple of shafts I already have.

Short answer if it's an XCG7 Beta, Yes. The XCG7 and XCG7 Beta have the same adaptor set-up. Sort of like you can swap shafts from an EX9 Tour to an EX9. Or the E8 or E8 Beta.... As long as it is the same model family it will absolutely fit.

But don't try to put an XCG7 head on an EX9 or EX10 adapter, because it won't work.

thanks. That is kind of what I thought.  I guess a  better way would be to go the Club Conex route with their universal adapters. Since I already have two shafts fitted with the XCG7 tips, I may try to find an XCG7 Beta head.  Mostly because I like the smaller head size and also the performance from the XCG7 Beta 3 wood, the driver would compliment it. Its hard to keep up with these OEM club makers coming out with the new models and Heaven forbid that they do so with the same hosel adapters.

The funny thing is the last four Tour Edge driver releases all have 8 position hosel adaptors, but for whatever reason they are slightly different and don't work interchangably. :hmm:

Roger that, guess they just want you to purchase the latest and greatest.  Now that I have an understanding of how the adjustables work, I am not such a big fan except for the somewhat dubious ability to swap shafts. Then you have the added weight of the adapters making swing weight and balance changes more challenging. If it were not for my advanced age, I would go ahead and get properly fit with fixed loft/bonded heads coupled with the correct shaft.

    • Feel like you are left side dominant. Keep the back of your glove running through impact. Keeps leading edge down without digging. You will pick them clean with some zip if the grass is nice and generally acceptable results off anything less than ideal. Works with both hingy or dead hand pitches and chips.
    • Day 52 (30 Apr 26) - Had planned a solo round, got invited to be part of trio that included a fmr mini tour pro.  Was fun playing back a set of tees and having to stay in my game plan. Both were very engaging and encouraging in the round.  A good day in working through and making smarter shot choices.
    • Day 576 - 2026-04-30 Put my playlist on and slowed down a little as things were meh. Mostly got to an exaggerated P6 and hit from there.
    • I mean, a golfer is trespassing and damaging property. So, golf rules don’t supersede state laws. 😉 Like, if it isn’t marked and is off golf property. The right thing to do is take an unplayable lie or take stroke and distance.  Also, this is a liability for the course. The homeowner could easily say the course is liable for damage done because they knowingly didn't mark their boundaries which allowed golfers to trespass and damage property.
    • Interestingly enough, if the course (the Committee in Rules terms) doesn't mark the boundaries, there is nothing out of bounds.  I realize that neighboring homeowners would take a dim view of golfers whacking balls from their backyards, but that's what the Definition of Out of Bounds requires. "All areas outside the boundary edge of the course as defined by the Committee."
