Yes, that was my intended point. He doesn't have

the say, but without getting into bylaws and his powers, I'm sure he can say, Wait til next year. Finchem should say, 'Hey, you guys [on the PAC] voted for this, now we have it, so live with it [for now].' Not, 'OK, let's meet again, 7 weeks after we made the initial change.' The whole thing just reeks for my taste. Not everyone is going to be happy. You got the guys (assumed at the bottom of leaderboard) who don't want to miss the weekend and you got the guys (assumed at the front of leaderboard) that can't stand the 5 hr rounds. Also you'd think these guys might be, lets say, 'happy' to have the FedEx points and money and cut made. Nope. I heard the Podcast, and I agree lower the field (I think I posted a comment along these lines some time ago) to a previous thread in the forum. This entire issue seems contrary to what they normally do, which is elevate the level of play. Best golfers play. Across all the tours they subscribe to this approach - because it's in their best interest to always cater to the best product.
