"Revolution Golfers!"  That phrase makes me cringe every time I hear it.

The commercialization of golf instruction is both annoying and inevitable, but I have to admit that they have a lot of good videos and swing tips.  I'm wondering if there are any big differences between these two systems and what folks might have to say about them.

I joined Top Speed Golf a while back but this is not an attempt promote or disparage it.

I apologize if discussing this is discouraged or prohibited.  I'm more interested in the subtle or big differences in current golf swing instruction than I am in saying one system is better than another.  I'm also interested in what's so revolutionary about Revolutionary Golf.  Seems pretty old school to me.

thx in advance.

I often see adverts for these sort of things when im online and i personally have never been interested.

Many of the guys on here use Evolvr and the 5SK system and have had really positive results, plus the amount of free advice from the likes of Erik and Mike is top notch.

A lot of these places, as you say, are very commercialised and it begs the question of whether they are genuinely there to help golfers improve or make money off the latest instruction fad. There are many threads on here about amazing new swing systems and such but most have been flash in the pans.

I am not ashamed to admit however that in the past i have tried alternative swings out of frustration but have started from scratch with my own natural swing. Im sure many people will say the guys at revolution etc. golf will teach the same pretty much the same things as an everyday teaching pro but package it up all fancy and whack a premium on it for the privalage.

I would second getting lessons customized for your swing with Golf Evolution, the 5SK instructors who post here, but if you're looking for general, "canned" instruction videos, I'd go with Dana Dahlquist or Tyler Ferrell (Golf Smart Academy). I like Martin Chuck's instruction on Golf Revolution, which just seems like a collection of vids from different instructors, but some of the instructors in that site, to me, are sketchy.

By the way, Golf Channel bought Revolution Golf:

I expect that it may get more publicity/marketing now.
