House sitting for my daughter in San Clemente. Closest golf course was Talega.  Nice loop!  Prices were not bad, I think I paid $45 for senior during week. White tees 64.9/124 as I recall. (shot a 98 gross).

We played an outing there once, and I played with my son again about 2 years ago when we were both playing good(er). Nice course, Enjoy!

Talega's a nice course.  There's one or two holes that irk me, and I'm not sure it's worth rack rate, but I don't object to rounds there.  Not sure I'd join if I lived in the area though.

must have been two holes where you shooting blind over two ravines. The first being a "must clear". I got lucky, aimed left of the tower and was able to find the fairway. The second ravine is a lay up for most. 18 is a monster with water all along the left side of a very narrow fairway.

I like 18 there... I think it's a fine finishing hole.  Unless it's changed since I played it last (about two years I think?), the water wasn't in play on the tee shot, just the second shot, and there's a bail out area.  An 18 handicap has a good chance for a safe bogey.

The par-5 that is super long and has hazards all over annoys me.

The par-? where you hit a blind tee shot ... yeah, I dislike that.  16 I think?

yep, lots of hazards.  I found a "few" of them. I will play it again.
