This forum seemed like a low key gem. I had to join, as I'm in a pursuit to be a better and knowledgeable golfer, so hello! My name's Luke and I'm 18 and picked up golf in the last two years but am already obsessed with it. I played basketball all my life and realized that being 5 foot 9 and a scrawny white kid that I was good but not quite good enough. Lol. I picked golf up because of my grandpa, plus I live right down the road from the most prestigious golf course in the world. It's hard to believe I was so oblivious to that fact for so long. Anyway, I'm happy I joined and look forward to talking with you guys and learning from y'all in the future.

There'll be pars when you are done

Welcome Luke,

lots of interesting stuff to read here. Did you play Augusta national or maybe their neighbours Augusta country club?

I wish. I would love to in the near future. My best friend actually works at the augusta national doing landscaping year round. I mainly play the public courses down here which are fairly nice courses. Forrest Hills, Bartram Trail, and Jones Creek are my favorite so far. I have yet to play the river club, applewood, gordon lakes, or any of those courses. I plan on playing them in the future as well. The patch or the augusta municipal course is my least favorite course, but that course is tough because the greens are so small and the greens are unpredictable in there speed and can be pretty bumpy. That course is lovely for a left to right player though. I tend to hit more right to left right now,
