Day 5 - 2024-10-05

Hit some somewhat soft pitching wedges. The outside and inside, particularly the outside of the left thumb where my right hand goes on it, is still pretty sore. I don't think I'll do more damage, but I'm reluctant to do too much because I don't want to compensate or alter my motion.

Day 80: a bunch of mirror work ole watching Michigan lose. Working on grip and downswing feels.

Day 266 - More putting work, really focused on how my feet are lined up.

Day 157 (06 Oct 24) -  Spent a few minutes after getting home from church on the DnR (dink and run) with the 8i.  Goal - keep the ball low and running.  Worked from about 20yds total distance (this simulates a typical green side bump and run scenario).

Day 6 - 2024-10-06

Made some swings in the mirror today. I want the backswing to be good before I worry about the downswing.

Day 81: putted for a bit on my mat. Working on the same set up - weight more toward the heels and handle raised.

Day 267 - Worked on putting, primarily the 7-8 foot range.

Day 7 - 2024-10-07

Hotel room mirror work. Thumb was 50% today. Not as good as some recent days, not as bad as others.

Day 158 (07 Oct 24) - Went longer club work today, the focus was on making consistent contact with the 3h - hitting into the net, i.e. thru the ball not to the ball.  The nice part is the target flag really “pops” when it’s a solid strike and a “flub” when it’s not.

Day 82: range day. Went and filmed, working on hands down earlier in the backswing. Then did a stack session.

Day 268 - A little putting and some backswing work. Trying to hit some specific feelings when I know I’m in a good position.

Day 8 - 2024-10-08

Made some swings in the mirror after getting home from watching my kiddo @NatalieB shoot her first under-par round of college golf and place fourth out of 64 at a pretty good sized event, shooting a team-best score both days by five each day of 76-71.

Day 159 (8 Oct 24) - Pre-shot setup, alignment work today - hit a few hard foam balls and then moved to hitting some into the net keeping the swing to 1/2 to 3/4.

Day 83: putted on my mat for a while during a conference call. Working on keeping the handle raised.

Day 269 - Elbow is finally starting to feel better. Mostly focused on the backswing, but did some easy full swings as well.

Day 160 (9 Oct 24) - Picked up the same drills as yesterday - per-shot setup, alignment with hard foam balls and 7i.  Decent session as balls provide decent flight and offer opportunities to see how “repeatable shots” can be.  Today was good - averaged 5-10 dia circles from 60yds or so

Backswing work before lessons today. Vertical, cupped.

Day 84: range night. Hit 40 balls at the range. Various clubs, just focused on where the ball is going. Have a couple of rounds coming up this weekend. Feeling good for those.
