Backswing work, taking club back with chest, chest rotating hips. Worked on some shaft awareness too.

Day 77 10-30

Drilled backswing with focusing on the hips and getting to the lead side(again). Trying to keep "flow" feeling, as it's easy for me to get caught up in the mechanics.

Day 58 (30 Oct 25) - Weekly nine hole round with my friend Mike.  Greens receptive with recent rains - made for great hop and stop shots into the green.  Played my son’s Dunlop XTI set of irons and metal woods - amazingly they felt very close to my Callaway X-series irons (looked a lot like them from address as well).  Used that to play a solid round of trusting the club choice and making good shots as a result.  It was a good day.

Day 56 (October 31).  This morning, I spent 20 minutes hitting 10 balls slowly, focusing on length of backswing.  I really want to change this picture.

Day 59 (31 Oct 25) - Friday men’s shootout.  Primary focus - no dbls or worse (did wind up with 2 dbls), get on greens in reg or up and down for 1 putt par (6 of the 8 pars were up and downs), got a nice birdie on 17.  Most of the up and downs were greenside wedges that finished as kick-in gummies.  Overall a solid 41 front/41 back for an 82, big take away - focusing on smart golf to ensure solid leaves for the next shot.

Day 396 - 2025-10-31

Bought a second complete GEARS system yesterday and added four cameras to my setup today (I may re-sell it at a later time). So, tested it out by working on my swing. Got some good stuff today.

Day 1: 10/31/25

Experimenting with combo length irons and practiced chipping indoors. Using the Mayo method I did better with the SW than LW, which was unexpected. Definitely need a smaller grip than the Jumbomax S.

Day 57 (November 1).  I didn't have a ton of time today, but I did find 10 minutes to hit 8 balls (indoors, off a mat, into the net).  I'm getting more comfortable with what I think is a shorter backswing, and I'll get the camera out tomorrow to see.
