Day 2: 2025.01.04

Grip work in front of mirror. Tripod arriving tomorrow so will be able to film to get a better sense of any change.

Day 15 - 2026-01-04

Still heavy rains here making course or range work a challenge. More net work, feeling better about movement. Lotta shanks though! Still things are improving. Will do some mirror work tonight as well.

Day 145 1-4

Recorded swings, did several rehearsals and didn't hit very many foam balls. Main focus on club face and reconnecting arm. Going to take some time to get it right.

Some backswing work with the pelvis/knees stuff. Little right shoulder work, too.

Day 6, 1/4/26. Today almost got away from me;  I had about ten minutes and hit about ten balls in that time (6-iron, off a mat, into a net, real balls).  A few rehearsals, all slow, focusing on limiting the backswing.   I am far more consistently seeing the club back where I expect it to be on rehearsal swings than I was two months ago, which is a good sign.

Day 3: 2025.01.05

Hit some balls at the range focusing on keeping tension in right leg. Feels more compact/stable and much shorter but not really losing any distance.

Day 16 - 2026-01-05

Had to stay indoors today and focus on mirror work. I still tend to lock my trail knee on initial turn so was worthwhile to notice that and focus on unlearning it.

Day 462 - 2026-01-05

GEARS session at 11 today, so I did some Hybrid swings before-hand. Crazy how much your pelvis can turn when you would swear it's turning like 10°. 😄

Day 146 1-5

didn't hit any balls tonight. Worked on reconnecting arm and arching wrist motion. Recorded practice.

Day 33 (4 Jan 26) - a little backyard work with 8i, 9i and Pw using Divot Bd, hard foam balls.  Goal - work on setup (a bit of the stack and tilt pre-load on lead foot), consistent ball first contact (divot bd to reflect low point contact) and predictable shot shape.  Setup had the Divot Bd 32yds from 12’ fence gate and I could get up to 64yds before the pompous grass in the yard behind.  The gate served as the “window” for the shot shapes (really was just working on more of a baby draw)…really helps when I have a great target point.  Was a good focused session on making solid swings…IMG_9165.thumb.jpeg.32e1bb418a6663d7bd99a2b163fd7f1f.jpeg

Day 7, 1/5/26.  As before, I knew I wasn't going to be able to have a long dedicated practice session, but I did step into the golf room for some practice:  10 balls, 6-iron, same focus and plan as the past few days.

(I'll get back to video one of these days, really;  practicing with video in that room is a bit of a pain, but I plan to move things around to allow this in the future)
