"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge

Day 55. Felt a bit better today hitting balls into the net working on technique. Some work on basics like flow and backswing followed by hand path exit.

Day 133: 5/8/24

Extensive putting today with a LAB DF3 counterbalance putter. 38” and 70*. Putted great from short and mid-range. Misses I had were often to the right, but speed was good. I have never used a large, or extended grip in the past.

Day 7 (8 May 24) - Easy work with 9i in the backyard doing bump and runs.

Day 124 - Worked on my backswing and weight shift. Filmed myself doing another drill.

Day 303: worked on chipping for a while indoors. Chipped into my chipping game with foam balls, worked on lower chips there. Did mirror work both with chips and pitches, checking that everything looks okay.

Day 27:

Continued working on top of backswing piece. It was almost dark so didn’t really care about hitting balls so just used Almost Golf balls. Would have liked to film and compare to lesson footage but not enough light.

Day 554, May 9, 2024

Practiced a bit downtown at Golf Evolution. Would have loved to get more work in, but oh well.

DAY 4:  Rain. 😒  Played "Around the World" on the putting mat (15 min). 🙂

Day 56. Played 9. Best score I’ve ever had made possible by good driving. 14 shots better than Monday haha. Did a very quick stack session after the round.

Day 5:  Today was just more putting practice at home.

Day 134: 5/9/24

Stack Full Speed Spectrum training session 9/24. Finished 5 mph lower than my highest speed during this program. Going to the doctor to see what is going on with my neck.

Day 8 (9 Mar 24) - Played a modified style scramble with a good friend and his father-in-law. modified in that we would all tee off on the fours and fives - played second/approach from the best shot. Each man plays his own ball in and scoring is individual stroke play.  Of the five pars I had (we only played nine holes) - four were up and downs from less than 12yds out with finishes averaging around 3’.  A nice way to have an up and down kind of day.

Wind really aggravated my allergies today, so attempted some full swing work outdoors but was kind of miserable. Moved indoors for some putting and mirror work.

Day 125 - Played 18. Ball striking is still off. Way off.

Day 555, May 10, 2024

Practice outside at WW, hitting shots here and there. Good day.

Day 9 (10 May 24) - Played 18 with a good friend and one of his coworkers.  Was not a solid scoring round, but lots of opportunites for course management. Had a blast as we truly "got our money's worth" as my friend jokingly said.  Had some solid shots and finished the round with a solid birdie on 17 (the only really good hole of the day).

Day 305: Played 18, shot a +6 77. Went +1 on the front, so limped in a bit. But I hit a lot of good shots, so I’m generally please.
