Day 557, May 12, 2024

Got some work done in the hotel room while watching Rose win. She seems to like the NY/NJ area.

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

Day 9:  Practiced hitting all clubs into the net at home.  I practice my 3 wood off the tee, would I ever use it off the tee??

I may not hit the ball far, but at least I find all of the pretty flowers.

Day 558, May 13, 2024

Drove for 9.5 hours. Installed a new mailbox after removing the old post that the tree trimmers knocked over. 😛  So… did a little mirror work in the patio window.

Day 12 (13 May) - a fun afternoon of working shot placement in the backyard with my 8 yr old grandson.  He would tell  us where we would have to hit the ball (with imagined but real hazards) - of course all of this was with foam balls and wedges/short irons.  Love the imagination of this kid!

Day 129 - More of my priority piece. Swings holding a weight, really getting into my lead heel at transition. Then again with a club across my shoulders, and finally hitting a ball. Used MirrorVision to see how things looked.

Day 10:  Hit a couple buckets at the range early so I could avoid as many people as possible.

I may not hit the ball far, but at least I find all of the pretty flowers.

Day 61. Practicing impact technique and wrist position at impact. Video looked like I was able to achieve it at slow speeds. Now to stay patient and work it slow and steady.

Day 13 (14 May 24) - Did the monthly play nine while walking round today.  Even with gusty winds, drizzly conditions I had a blast taking a walk to enjoy the round.  Played the DCI 962 irons as I have not played them on the course this year.  I know they are late 90's technology, but man they hit well when struck pure.  Was a solid round as there were no dbl bogies, but five bogies.  Next goal is to complete a nine with no "sixes" on the card.

Day 139: 5/14/24

ProSendr indoor practice and completed the first 3 protocols. Wish the wrap was a little larger. I don’t think I could hit hit balls and have it stay on my wrist. With dry swings it does help me with proper backswing and wrist position.

    • Day 59: just a short bit of mirror work and foam balls. Working on the leg stuff throughout the swing.
    • Day 601 - 2026-05-25 Short-ish day with only some later Skillest lessons, so I stayed after and got some swings in. GEARS Hybrid was set up for a lefty, so… not that. 🙂
    • Day 21, May 25.  Hit "the whole bucket" as practice today after reviewing my Skillest lesson.  I think something crept into my swing last week that wasn't in the lesson, so I went back to the lesson and renewed my focus.  Each ball was a minute or so, 2-3 slow rehearsal backswings and checking the mirror for how far back I was going. "The whole bucket" means every ball I have in the bin at my indoor practice room;  I counted when I put them back, that's six dozen plus six total.  That is probably more full swings than I took over the weekend (excluding range warm-ups) in two rounds!  But these were all with a 6-iron.
    • Day 265 5-25 Hit some balls just to see where i was, no "thoughts' except getting arms in front. Did some recording where i focused on getting chest through and arms in front.
    • Day 76 (25 May 26) - Broke out the "vintage" clubs (MacGregor blades, Wilson 4150 laminates) to work with clubs that are much less forgiving.  Worked through the bag using hard foam balls for the full swings, regular balls for the chips and pitches.  Found it to be a more focused session on making consistent contact.
