Day 153: 5/28/24

After a workout today I could barely lift my arms. Limited me to putting practice through 50 mm gates for approximately 25 minutes.

Day 25:  I was supposed to play 9 holes but old shoulder/chest issue is bothering me so more putting practice at home. 

I may not hit the ball far, but at least I find all of the pretty flowers.

Day 27 (28 May 24) - Was to play the monthly church men’s group superball rounds. We got 2-1/2 holes in when the rain/thunder/lightning hit - course gave us a rain check….overall, was a solid couple of holes.

Day 46:

Really struggled today, maybe some fatigue from a long weekend with lots of yard work, family time, and two early rounds of golf. I just could not find the ball at all with full swings. Slow, fast, super slow, medium speed, it didn't matter. I was hitting all sorts of terrible shots; chunks, shanks, tops, pulls, pushes, basically every miss was a possibility. Stopped after about 20 balls and hit the mental reset and changed course to "still head" fundamental practice while making easy swings. Hit the ball well doing this. Stuck with it for about 15 balls, and then did a little pitching and chipping practice.

Played 18 holes with @DrizZzY. Bogeyed the ninth to shoot a pretty painless -1 (which gave me a 0.6 differential in the new 18-hole transformation in GHIN). Fine.

Day 154: 5/29/24

Stack Full Speed Spectrum Training session 18/24. Lifted weights yesterday and felt a little tight during swings tonight. Middle of the road session as far as speed. Hope to improve on Friday.

      I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
